Addressing Challenges in Zilliqa Network After Blockchain Upgrade

Zilliqa Network Addresses Challenges Following Blockchain Upgrade

Zilliqa blockchain recently underwent an update to version 9.3.0, which was successfully completed, ensuring seamless block production and transaction processing since the upgrade. However, some initial challenges were anticipated, and the network has been actively addressing and resolving them.

Following the upgrade, Zilliqa reported initial API performance issues, which have been addressed. The ZilBridge service, maintained by Switcheo, is currently experiencing downtime due to a software bug that emerged during the upgrade, affecting the PolyNetwork/Zilliqa interface. While Zilliqa does not have direct control over this, support is being provided to Switcheo for resolution.

Additionally, some exchanges reported integration delays post-upgrade, with Zilliqa providing customized assistance to expedite their return to full operation. Mining pools also faced challenges, particularly with batch transactions, but Zilliqa has implemented an API update to address these issues.

Zilliqa has also acknowledged concerns about the rewards system and confirmed that the governance-approved system is functioning correctly. A review of the rewards system is scheduled for February, with a detailed report to be published on GitHub.

Furthermore, node synchronization and startup issues have been reported, particularly by some SSN operators.

In other news, Zilliqa recently experienced a surge following the successful upgrade, after previously addressing a technical issue in December that caused an interruption in block production. At present, the network boasts over 62 million transactions, 4.7 million addresses, and 600 nodes, with a block height of over 3.4 million.

The total value locked on the Zilliqa network is $4 million based on DefiLlama data. The native ZIL token is currently priced at $0.02276505, with a 2.7% increase over the past 24 hours and a 9.2% decrease over the last week, as per CoinGecko. This information is crucial for stakeholders and investors as they monitor the performance and stability of the Zilliqa ecosystem.
